"Plasterhead" Premiere - A Comprehensive Review

I should have posted this earlier, but better late than never, eh? On Sunday, October 1st, Plasterhead premiered, in all its cinematic glory, to a sold out house at the Pioneer Theater in Manhattan. I was so busy running around that night that I wouldn't be the best person to tell you how it went, but I was extremely touched by the great reaction the film received from the crowd. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience to be able to sit down in a theater and watch your film in the big screen for the very first time, and I can't thank everyone enough for helping Plasterhead get to that point. If I recall correctly, every single actor from the film was present, and that itself was special as well.

Luckily, Mike and I had the foresight to hire Kathryn, one of my good friends from my days at Boston University, to shoot some photos for us. Without further ado....Plasterhead in pictures.

A Formal Introduction...

Hello Everyone

I can hear the awkward silence already...I guess I should probably introduce myself. My name is Kevin Higgins, and I'm the writer & director of the fine piece of cinematic history known as Plasterhead. Truth be told, I wanted to do this a long time ago, in order to keep a running log of happenings during pre-production, production, and post-production. Somehow, a year went slipped by and we finished the film, so this will have to be a journal documenting what happens AFTER a film is completed...which isn't a bad thing, necessarily, because Plasterhead still has a long, hard road ahead. Finishing the film was the easy part. Navigating the jungle of the film industry to find the film a respectable home, not so much.

Anyway, we're just getting ready to begin our search for distribution. We have some great ideas for a press kit, which will hopefully be realized in the next several weeks. Thanks to Brett and Chase, we already have some killer promo artwork. We just want to make sure we have all our guns loaded before we head out to the front lines. More later...
